FAQ
Questions clubs ask us
The ones that come up in nearly every first email. If yours isn't here, ask.
- Who are these tours for?
- Adult rugby clubs in the United States and Canada. Men's and women's sides, social to competitive, old boys and alumni groups. We don't run school, youth or college tours.
- How many players do we need?
- Around twenty makes a tour work. We have run tours of forty-plus. A core group doing the full week with weekend warriors flying in for the back end is common and works well.
- How far ahead should we start?
- Ten to eighteen months. Ten months out is about perfect for gathering a group: enough time for people to save and plan, not so long that it drifts.
- When is the best time to tour?
- February and March for the Six Nations, late August and September for preseason and warm-weather rugby (Labor Day weekend suits US clubs), November for the Autumn Tests. Not June or July: the clubs over there have packed up and a game is very hard to find.
- What does it cost?
- A recent Scotland tour came out around $1,500 a head for the week and under $900 for a long weekend, covering hotels with breakfast, the Test ticket, the host club fixture, two coaching sessions, group dinners most nights and the bus. Flights, insurance and lunches are on top. Yours will land somewhere around that depending on the country, hotel and nights.
- How do payments work?
- Every player pays a $50 deposit through their own link by a deadline. If the numbers don't come, the deposits go back. Over the threshold, the tour is locked in and the balance is paid in installments through the platform, fully paid two months before departure. We send the reminders, not you.
- What happens if someone drops out?
- Before the tour is locked in, their $50 comes back. After that, our terms set out what is refundable at each stage, and in practice we work with you to fill the spot. People join right up to the last month if we can still get them a bed, a ticket and a seat at dinner.
- Do you book flights?
- No, on purpose. Book your own so you can arrive early, stay late or fly from wherever suits. Tell us when you land and we take it from there.
- What are the rooms like?
- Central hotels, three or four star depending on the city, breakfast included, twin rooms with two single beds. Single rooms can be arranged on request.
- Can partners and supporters come?
- Yes. Supporters and weekend warriors join on their own link, pay their own way, and get the match ticket and the social programme without the sessions.
- What level will the opposition be?
- Matched to you. We ask about your level and the kind of game you want, then find a club that fits. The aim is always a competitive game with a clubhouse afterwards, not a hammering and not a walkover.
- Can we do a joint men's and women's tour?
- Yes, and it works well. Plenty of clubs over there field both and will host both on the same day.
- Are international match tickets guaranteed?
- No. Six Nations and Autumn Test tickets are allocated, not bought off a shelf. We hold allocations where we can and tell you plainly what is confirmed. We never price a tour on a ticket we don't have.
- Do you come on the tour with us?
- No. You have one point of contact from first email to the flight home, local contacts on the ground, and a tour bible with everything in it. The core parts are set and the rest is yours. We don't hold hands.
- Where else can we go?
- Scotland, England, Wales and Ireland are what we know best. If you have somewhere else in mind, ask. We have run club trips further afield when the shape was right.

BUILT BY CLUB PLAYERS, FOR CLUB PLAYERS
We run adult clubs ourselves, so we know what a tour is for: a few good sessions, a competitive game, a few big nights, and watching some crazy good rugby.
No school groups. No youth tours. No parents. Men's and women's adult clubs, from social sides to top-of-the-league sides, and old boys who want one more trip.
We don't over-plan. The core parts are set and the rest is left open for you to go and adventure on your own. We don't come on the tour and hold hands.
Your traditions, your court, your clans, your rules. We book the room and leave you to it.
We get under the hood of local club rugby: a host club matched to your level, practices on local grounds you would not get onto on your own, and the small things that make an adult club tour better.
Our own platform takes the $50 deposits and the installments from every player and does the chasing. The organiser never collects a cent.
