Built for: Adult amateur clubs from the US and Canada, and nobody else. Men's and women's sides, social to competitive, old boys. No school, youth or college tours.
Where: Scotland, England, Wales and Ireland. One country per tour, built around a Test weekend or a preseason window.
How it works: Club people, not a tour desk. We get under the hood of local club rugby: a host club matched to your level, practices on local grounds you would not get onto on your own, and the small things that make an adult club tour better. Our own platform takes the $50 deposits and the installments from each player and does the chasing. One point of contact.
Pick them if: You are an adult club that wants a game against the right opposition, a Test match and a few big nights, and you'd rather run your own tour culture than be looked after.

Where: England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, France and Italy, in 4, 5 and 6 night packages.
How it works: The official Travel, Tours and Tickets Partner for USA Rugby, which is a strong position to hold for international match tickets. A large UK sports travel company with a US office, offering personalised itineraries with fixtures, stadium tours, coaching sessions and match tickets.
Pick them if: You want the USA Rugby official partner behind your tickets, a fixed night-count package, or a tour to France or Italy.

Irish Rugby Tours

Built for: School teams, youth clubs and universities first, in their own words, with adult and women's clubs too. Recent tours in their marketing include U14, U18 and U19 sides, high schools, colleges and a handful of senior clubs.
Where: Ireland, the UK, France, Italy, Belgium and Holland, Japan and New Zealand. Based in Cork.
How it works: Established tour specialist. Fixtures against club or school opposition, cultural programme, and a custom team kit offer for groups who book.
Pick them if: You are a school, youth or college side, want a kit deal built in, or want a destination outside the UK and Ireland.

England Rugby Travel (tours)

Built for: Clubs, schools, universities and colleges, mainly from the UK, touring outbound and inbound since 2013.
Where: Worldwide, with England and Europe at the core.
How it works: Large volume tour operator attached to the England Rugby Travel ticketing brand.
Pick them if: You are a UK-based side touring out, or want a large operator with official England ticketing behind it.

The honest differences

Club people versus tour specialists. The operators above are good at tours, and a lot of what they do is schools, youth and universities. We play and run adult club rugby ourselves. That changes the hotels, the nights out, the level of supervision, and who we know at the clubs you'll play.
Under the hood of local club rugby. We match you with a host club that will suit your level and your style, not whoever has a free Saturday. We get you onto local grounds for practices you would not get on your own. And we dig out the small things, the right clubhouse, the right bar, the right day trip, that make an adult tour that bit better.
The platform. Our own system collects the $50 deposits and the installments from every player, chases them, and keeps the organiser updated. Ask any operator who collects the money and who chases it.
Tickets. Venatour's official USA Rugby partnership is a real advantage for international tickets, and we say so. We hold allocations where we can through our own contacts and tell you plainly what is confirmed. We never price a tour on a ticket we don't have.
Scale. They are bigger. We are two people, a platform and a lot of club contacts, running a small number of tours a year with one person on the end of the phone.
